How It Works!
Online Reckless and Aggressive Driving Education Program (RADEP):
Why take this online course?
- You may need to complete this course to satisfy a Virginia court order for a reckless or aggressive driving offense that does not involve alcohol.
- The 12-hour RADEP program combines the required 8-hour Virginia Driver Improvement Course with a 4-hour Reckless/Aggressive Driver Education Section, providing the complete program commonly ordered by Virginia courts.
- The 4-hour RADEP program is for individuals who have already completed the 8-hour Virginia Driver Improvement Course or who are only required to complete the reckless/aggressive driving portion.
- The course is designed to address the underlying causes of reckless and aggressive driving by helping participants recognize high-risk behaviors, manage anger and emotions behind the wheel, and develop safer decision-making skills.
- You will learn about the dangers and consequences of reckless and aggressive driving, common aggressive driving behaviors such as tailgating, road rage, and improper lane changes, along with practical defensive driving and conflict resolution techniques.
- This research-based program uses recognized instructional methods to help drivers understand and change unsafe driving behaviors, with the goal of building safer, more responsible habits over time.
- Successfully completing the course demonstrates compliance with your court requirement and helps you become a safer, more responsible driver.
